Our position where we invite you to join us: Accounting Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Lead to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end management of supplier and customer accounts, overseeing accounting records, supporting audit processes, and driving the continuous improvement of accounting operations.

So, what responsibilities does the Accounting Lead take on at Otokoç Otomotiv?

• Maintain and update supplier and customer master data (e.g., title, IBAN, address, etc.)
• Monitor collateral entries/exits and year-end inventory counts
• Ensure regular reconciliation and monitoring of current accounts
• Record and reconcile physical POS transactions
• Review weekly payment lists and coordinate with the treasury team accordingly
• Manage foreign exchange transactions, intercompany transfers, and related accounting entries
• Monitor transfer pricing activities and affiliated company reporting
• Execute trial balance closing processes in line with the group financial calendar
• Provide support and prepare documentation for internal and external audits
• Track payments received from financial institutions and post corresponding journal entries

What are the Required Qualifications?

• Bachelor's degree from a reputable university
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting
• Strong knowledge of Uniform Chart of Accounts and current account management
• Hands-on experience with SAP, especially the FI module
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong reporting skills in supplier/customer account analysis, payment planning, and due date tracking
• Familiar with internal and external audit processes, experienced in accurate and consistent data generation
• Experience in KPI tracking and process improvement
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working systematically
• Resident in Istanbul
