Roles and Responsibilities

In line with Ford Otosan's vision of being the most valuable and most preferred industrial company. Ford Otosan Tool & Die builds Automotive Stamping Dies for internal and external customers. This role is mainly responsible to manage and support outsourced manufacturing processes and material procurement.

• Regarding Ford Otosan Tool and Die’s outsourced services; manage Ford Otosan Outsource Service Procurement procedures (inc. Purchase agreement, CAPEX orders, commissioning and payment), Provide customers quality and project timing expectations with the supplier, develop suppliers technical capabilitites and held assessments.
• Management of all Std. Material procurement processes, provide cost and timing improvements by introduction of new material suppliers, support Ford Otosan Purchase responsibles with prioritization, standard definition and take appropriate quotation.

Main Responsibility
Regarding the dies produced in the workshop for the Domestic & International die projects, which are under the responsibility of the Tool Die Area Management.

• To manage and develop the supply processes of all standard die materials to be used in die production.
• Managing the die steels material flow and production processes of the workshop
• Managing the die steels manufacturing processes in outsource suppliers and providing new supplier acquisition and development
• Management and development of Tool & Die Marketplace team and processes
• Planning and implementation of digitalization projects related to the processes under his/her responsibility
• Assisting in the development of pattern and casting manufacturing/procurement processes in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
• Manages outsource processes with contracted or non-contracted machine shops, tool maker and press shop supplier company and ensures the customer's timing and quality expectations are met.
• Enables the evaluation of the quotations are received from the companies, considering the quality and cost criteria, and the provides selection of the most suitable company.
• Manages heat treatment and cladding proceses to ensure that processes are timely outsourced and received at the desired timing & quality.
• Requests 8D reports from suppliers for quality issues and supports to find appropriate solutions to prevent the problems from re-occuring again and to develop suppliers.
• Follows new technologies and carries out necessary adaptation studies within the framework of the factory of the future strategy.
• With his/her customer-oriented service approach, ensures that the procedures and instructions prepared within the scope of ISO 9001 Quality Management System are carried out in the area responsible for.
• Plannes and realizes digitalization projects related to the processes under his/her responsibility in line with goal of becoming a leading production center.

Qualifications

Experience
• Preferably has Planning & Organization and Project Management Experience.
• Preferably has minimum 3 years of manufacturing and production experience in Tool & Die related area.
• At least 2 years of experience in team management.
• Has strong communication skills with suppliers, engineering and production teams.
• Experience at supply chain management.

Education
Graduated from Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Metallurgical and Materials Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer
