What awaits you in this role?

We are looking for a passionate Senior Specialist – R&D (Thermodynamics & System Based Modelling) who will join us at Research and Development Directorate.

• Leading and participating in the projects related with cooling system design, cooling performance and energy efficiency of domestic refrigerators/freezers, and integrated features’ system design,
• Conducting experimental and aligned numerical studies to investigate the thermal system characteristics and effects on the cooling performance of refrigeration systems, efficiency of their components and sub-systems,
• Analyzing experimental and numerical results to develop the related cooling system and components designs,
• Developing alternative cooling system designs, algorithms, and new technology applications to improve thermal performance of the products, in association with the functional quality and energy efficiency, and having proper cooling under various cooling demands,
• Preparing test plans for both systems and components such as compressors and heat exchangers,
• Performing theoretical thermal analysis and engineering calculations on the thermodynamics and heat&mass transfer issues related with the cooling system applications,
• Following/learning and developing related tests standards,
• Improving digital skills to interpret the experimental and numerical results,
• Reporting, presenting, and sharing outcomes of the R&D project studies across departments and functions.

The position is located in İstanbul, Çayırova.

How do we describe the perfect match?

• Master Degree or currently continuing M.Sc. education in Mechanical Engineering,
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, and heat & mass transfer,
• Knowledge and experience on the design and optimization of thermal systems and components, vapor compression cooling and heat-pump systems,
• Knowledge and experience on thermo-fluid transport phenomena and boundary layer theory,
• Minimum 3 years work experience in thermal systems engineering, cooling and/or heat pump systems,
• Having experience in programming languages such as Python, C++, and/or numerical engineering tools such as Modelica Dymola, Matlab, EES,
• Having desire to do both experimental and numerical R&D work with a continuously learning and developing manner,
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English,
• Following and adopting the market trends and new technologies,
• Thinking broadly about business, and understanding needs of the market & customer,
• Having desire to do outstanding jobs, outside the box thinking ability, and open to innovation culture,
• Recognizing and understanding emotions of other people, knowing what empathy really means,
• Listening to different perspectives and showing flexibility,
