We are looking for a passionate Lead Engineer - Innovation (Backend Software Engineer)  join our team at Innovation Directorate. 

• Creating the path to future success by applying advanced technology stack, innovative business models and lean start-up principles in blockchain, finance, sustainability, and emerging focus areas,
• Creating intelligent systems to seamlessly connect products, services, and digital platforms by executing all aspects of design and development, from ideation through production,
• Focusing on the customer experience and capabilities to identify opportunities and create realizable strategies,
• Developing intelligent systems which reside on cloud Infrastructure and are powered by AI,
• Collaborating with customers, partners, stakeholders and teaming up with best-in-class people from science, engineering, design, and business,
• Applying lean start-up principles, fail & learn fast, quick prototyping and agile development and developing smart MVPs for customer validation and creation,
• Designing, implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining cloud-based, large-scale and production level intelligent systems,
• Applying best development practices and implementing DRY code for quality solutions.

The position is located in İstanbul, Sütlüce.

How do we describe the perfect match?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science,
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on development experience in building customer-delivered (in prod. environment) backend systems,
• Having strong programming skills in Typescript/JavaScript,
• Strong knowledge in back-end frameworks including Nest.js or Express.js,
• Strong knowledge of HTTP/S protocols and consuming RESTful services
• Knowledge in containerization (Docker),
• Knowledge in SQL and NoSQL database systems,
• Having test capability to ensure responsiveness and efficiency is a plus,
• Having experience in web socket development is a plus,
• Having experience in multiple OO and scripting languages such as Java, Python, Go, etc. is a plus,
• Implementing DRY code, open to learn new technologies, experience in using Git,
• Having hands-on experience in web services (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure) is a plus,
• Willing to create robust/efficient backend apps from scratch and maintain on-going applications,
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, 
• Thinking broadly about business,
• Understanding needs of the market & customer, 
• Having desire to do outstanding jobs,
• Listening different perspectives and showing flexibility, 
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
